1. Go to start and search for "cmd" and as it appears right click on it and choose "Run as Administrator".
2. After the cmd prompt out, enter "cd.." until you only left C:\> as below.
3. Navigate to your pendrive/thumbdrive by typing it's letter.
Lets says the pendrive letter is "e:". Type "e:" and hit enter.
**You can check your pendrive letter by open "My Computer".
4. Type "de; *.lnk" (without the quote) in the cmd windows and hit enter. This is to remove the shortcut file in the pendrive. You may skip this line if you have remove the shortcut file through antivirus.
5. This is the part that the magic works. Now type "attrib -s -h -r /s /d". Viola.
You will fix your problem with this.
